Topic : Relevance Framework

Users have a lot of content in their devices. This content includes calendar events, contact cards, music pieces, video clips, and office documents. The same content can be used by different applications for different purposes. For example, a user would like to find a music piece for playing it in music player and to be attached into an email message. The challenge of finding right content gets more difficult when amount of content increases. However, users typically want to find same or related items that they have been interacted before. Therefore, by utilizing previous usage history, it is possible to predict future needs and to help the user needed items.

Relevance Framework is a project for utilizing learning based on previous user interaction to identify what content is relevant to the user. Relevance Framework stores content usage history, calculates relevance for content items based on this history and then applies this relevance when searching for most relevant items when user needs them. In this presentation, we will discuss on these user needs, and our approach to solve them
